I am an existential-humanistic therapist focusing on experience and relationship.

I am a New Yorker by birth and upbringing and a relatively recent transplant to the Bay Area. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I considered two different career paths, music and academia. My primary instrument is piano and I love to play improvisational music and to listen to rock, blues, and jazz. My academic interests have been philosophy and religion, especially Buddhism and Hinduism. Neither music nor academia provided me with the sense of wholeness and connection that I yearn for, nor the combined utilization of my emotions and my intellect that I value so much about being a therapist. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors in the sunshine, traveling, listening to music, reading and getting lost in conversation.

Enneagram: 5w4

Myers-Briggs: INTP

I provide open-ended depth psychotherapy for adult individuals who wish to expand their awareness and make profound changes in their lives. I hold limited space in my practice for clients who want or need shorter-term therapy to address more specific issues. My approach is experiential, incorporating existential-humanistic, relational psychodynamic, and mindfulness-based perspectives. In general, I guide clients to access more of their full humanity and to make connections with their past and future in a way that is meaningful to them in the present moment.
